Dave Snider proudly owns and operates Classic barber shop. Dave is a native Hoosier, is married with a blended family of all girls, four daughters and four granddaughters. Dave and his wife Kristi enjoy riding their 2007 Harley-Davidson through the small towns of Indiana checking out and photographing old barber shops. He is a longtime enthusiast of the guitar and 60’s and 70’s music. His shop is tastefully decorated with memories of that era.
Dave has always cut hair as an adult and has done so in Carmel since 1986.Dave’s Barbering Career started in 1975 while serving in the Navy. He was a “Ship’s Barber” and privileged to have cut hair all over the world. Dave opened the doors to Classic barber shop in October 2008. He did so on the premises that it was time Carmel, if not Indiana, needed a Man and Boy’s regular, local ,“owned by a barber” barber shop that was in step with the times. You will find his shop to be bright, roomy, modern, clean (not to worry if you have allergies), nice (without the foo foo).
The use of technology including free wi-fi, Visa & Master cards,
a great website and quality from the haircut to the waiting chair is all there. He emphasis’s we are about cutting hair, not corners. Dave wants his clients to have a sense of pride, satisfaction and enjoyment during their 15-20 minutes in his new state of the art electric barber chair. A play area is available for the little guy’s while they wait for their little boy haircut. Dave’s loyal clientele enjoys his great haircuts, humor and need to enlighten them on a variety of topics. So when they call “All Hands on Deck” you will find Dave in his shop each and every day (Off Wednesday). Dave is always in need of just one more new client. Call him for an appointment or just walk-in.
